We know Merc are bringing to Bahrain a whole new package. Any updates for Ferrari or the car will be the same car in Barcelona?

I don't know but, in Barcelona, Ferrari already modified the couple of winglets attached under the lower front wishbone. They also modified the floor just behind the turning vanes. They brought a new shark fin, a new rear wing and tweaks in the diffuser...
So many many modifications...

Now I read Renault are bringing a big update to Bahrain, but nothing from Ferrari and Macca....

The biggest updates are going to be brought by Mercedes and Renault, if one shall believe in their PR. It's only 4 days until Friday, so there's no point in further speculations.

Most of us are looking at Ferrari's enviable consistency on long-run pace and seeing that there's clearly a lot of effort and work gone into that. You can see from Barcelona that ourselves, Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes and even Force India are very strong on light fuel and new tyres, so in qualifying trim it could be very close
- Jonathan Neale, McLaren Managing Director.

So it's pretty much confirmed that thus far Ferrari have good long run pace as well as short run pace.

Excellent...

Okay, some pics from Bahrain are coming through now.. So, how are these gills gonna be deemed legal under the current rules? Thought they just used the during testing to reduce overheating risks, but why bring it to the race then?

you beat me to it Imightbewrong... saw that too. to my mind the only way that those gills can be legal is if they dont have openings. maybe they are just ripples in the body work without the openings. either that or that panel is going to be popped out and a new flat panel, sans gills, will be fitted. but watch for flying faeces if they run this on the w/e.

see from the above pic, the whole exhaust panel pops out. i think this will be exchanged for a normal panel without the gills come race time. although i was wrong about the mounting points on the wheels a couple weeks ago so there could be fireworks yet...

@ Crabs. See this pic. Pretty sure I can see a white heat resistant panel through the fins, extending out to the exhaust opening.
