oh my god Lewis is charging!!

C'mon BOB!!

Timo spins out, hitting jarno Trulli. Looked like a rear brake lock-up.

Edit:

Petrov runs wide on the last corner, Lewis overtakes and has the run down the straight. Petrov then attacks down the inside into corner 1, loses position! Now Petrov is going off into the distance, a bit. might turn out to be a good battle. Renault had the speed too.

I have no live timing. No money on my phone to use the mobile application (not the iPhail app).

Exactly the same again from Vitaly and Lewis. Lewis then weaves all over the track and he will have to be penalised for it. As it's more than one defensive line. I suspect it'll be a long time before he gets the drive-thruough.
Minus that, they were racing well.
Button now passed Alonso. Button to take on Massa. Massa is still behind Buemi.
Kobayashi is now out. Stuck in-gear. Bad race for the Sauber lads.

Edit: Lewis has got away without penalisation. Just warning.
Schumacher out, mechanical failure. Couldn't hear what (was at a gig last night so I've only got ringing in my ears haha)
Liuzzi is seamingly out too.

Will Lewis get a drive through? That was shocking.

EDIT: WTF! that wasn't a borderline move, that couldn't be more blatant.

Uhhh!
How many times Hamilton did just swearve on the straight to hold Petrov behind?! 4 times?

There's going to be a penalty for this one...

Live timing is back!

EDIT: no penalty for Hamilton, just a warning...

Poor Force India, now only Sutil can maintain the good run they were having here.

Vettel vs Webber is pretty interesting, hopefully they battle until they break their fragile Bulls once again.

Alonso has a problem.... :?

Agreed, a piss poor decision from the stewards. Also, what's with all the retirements!

what are the lap times from the Red Bulls? That and the gap?

No live timing for me, having JAVA problems and the TV coverage doesn't have anything yet.

Battle between Petrov and Algesuari soon.
Battle now on!

Lewis should take notes from Petrovs style of driving down the straight while having a car in tow.

@Megz The chaps on 5Live are saying this track is known as a car-breaker. I guess because you spend so much time on full throttle.

Also: it sounds like Lotus are planning on sending Heikki back out. Mike Gascoyne is tweeting that they're "working on the car". So I'm assuming they're planning on sending him out for more laps.

So far this race has been a perfect showcase for why F1 races should be run with the grid determined by reverse championship order... great racing ensues!

I'd prefer random order. By the tried and tested method of Tombola

Agreed, exciting racing so far. Chances of rain later? Nearly half-distance now.

Hamilton is quite impressive. And so is Alonso, who seems to have a problem, but still make his best lap just after getting rid of Massa.

They've sent Heikki back out, after fixing his hydraulic problem.

Nice overtake from Alguesuari! Round the outside of Hulkenberg and on the marbles. He seems to have gelled with the Toro Rosso in this race.

edit:
Alonso's car trouble involved his car selecting neutral every time he downshifts. That's some bad stuff right there! Not sure what his times are but 5Live is saying that he's driving with the problem extremely well.

Petrov is out. Mechanical failure.

thank you :) he's also in 5th! or was in 5th, now in pits.

Smedley saying: Press the overtake button [for extra revs, saving fuel]
Then adds: baby

Felipe baby press that little button for me, you'll see
Button going back as you, pass by :-"

Vitaly thought "it was a good fight" haha
FiF1 has the same speed as McLaren down the straight, keeping Lewis back. I suspect he'll attempt an overtake at some point soon.

I'm glad we're on the same page Roost89. Massa ftw over Button!

Alonso put in fastest race lap so far - 1:37.415, then a 1:37.231.

Massa win!

 @ Rob Smedley "go on boy!" What a character!

Now Alonso will try and get past Button. With a broken gearbox. Something must be up with Buttons car, I'm not sure what his speed is, but it's not as fast as it could be!

Nice battle between Alonso and Button.
