Alonso FAIL, that's all i have to say about him. Massa was by far the better driver for the weekend.
Agreed for LH, but not for Alonso. He was taken out by Rubens in lap one, put wrong tires and had to pit once more. Even after that he made a great recovery to 8th. Then he pushed a bit too hard and made a mistake. But his push was justified. If he settled for 8th he would get just 2 miserable points.
And his justified push earned him how many points uhhh that would be none so that makes 2 points look good if he comes good and loses wc by one point lol =D>

The impact ripped Ruben's front wheel off. In effect the Williams acted as the crumple zone for both cars. Ruben's nose went in to the gap between the Ferrari's rear tyre and side pod, the front wing hit Alonso's rear wheel just before the front tyre did. No doubt that Alonso was lucky not to be taken out there and then.

correct, but he had a real chance to overtake the cars ahead of him. So, I say the risk was justified

Renault F1 Team is hopefully back in buisness! Robert Kubica was far from perfect, but so was everybody else! Wheel spin at the restart and then the lock up of the brakes at the pitstop. Hopefullt they can maintain this form and challenge McLaren, maybe not on Monza, but "for sure" on the medium and high downforce circuits that remain. If Webber can achive a podium finish on Monza, he'll be in a good position to win the championship.

I think 2011 will see Renault as a regular podium contender, and maybe back to winning in 2012?

I think they should give Petrov a chance for next year. They need a steady second driver. Under Briatore they switched second drivers more often than I change underwear. Besides that I think he could be quite something if he learns some more.

I think you are right, today's rookies have a tough time compared to what they had before the testing ban. He has shown some promise , but he needs to be more consistent. He managed a "sweet move" on Rosberg, but lost out in the end due to more pitstops.

hahah
both cars got loaded with exactly the same force.
actio = reactio
The Ferrari was simply stronger (on the loaded point) than the Williams, thats why it didn't break.
Still surprising.

The important thing though is where that force was applied and how much was absorbed by the car and how much was transmitted on or dissipated. In Rubens case, as with Vettel and Button, the car absorbed the impact. In Alonso's case most of the energy was dissipated by the car spinning, lessening the loads on his own car. It was still very surprising how little damage occured, but it wasn't because his car was soooo much stronger than the others.

Don't forget a strong car is an unnecessarily heavy car.

may be, but you never know. The changes for 2011 are not small. New tires, no DDD, no F-duct, KERS is back. Did I miss something?. Many things may go wrong. We saw what happened to Renault after Michelin left after 2006 and Ferrari in 2005 ....
