Interesting post, Ringo. I tend to think "Vettel's car is more than like 4 or 5 tenths a lap faster than Alonso's" is a bit over the top. Regardless of which car is faster (I think the Red Bull is the quicker of the two), it's the combination of car and driver that counts, espeecially at this track. I'm biased, but I think Alonso/F10 is the best combination this weekend.ringo wrote:Tomorrow's race will be interesting; the redbull is still the fastest car out there.
Alonso got a really lucky pole because Vettel hit the wall messing up his lap.
What I think will happen is Vettel's car will be the fastest in the first stint.
He will hound Alonso for position and could cause and accident.
No matter how we lucky at it, Vettel's car is more than like 4 or 5 tenths a lap faster than Alonso's.
Alonso being the better driver simply got more out of the car when it counted.
Webber is also in a faster car than at least one of the Mclarens. He'll hound Button for position as well.
Interesting race we have on our hands indeed. The cars are so shuffled in terms of speed and grid position that pit stops could decide who wins or loses.
Yeah, he's in a very stressful situation and you have no idea of what's gonna happen in the race. With the championship being very tight, It's a gambling for him in the remaining races I believe.n smikle wrote:I would be very nervous if I were Alonso.
I mean, he is going to be dancing with the Boss all light long Lionnel richie style.
Who knows how long his engine will hold up? Or his gearbox? It could possibly have the same problem as Massa's.. I wonder how long his car will last?

Apparently McLaren have toughened up the front end of his car for this race. The shape of the new front wing has nothing to do with aero but it has been designed to absorb the impact from hitting another car with minimal damage. So now he can drive the others without worry.vall wrote:Let see how long LH's race will last first With Vettel, Button and Webbo (and LH himself for what matters) abound may not be long
It's not that but it is just plain hilarious when the Hamilton fans start sulking and condemn the race rather than enjoy the rest of the race.ringo wrote:So many wishing to end another driver's race prematurely. I know Hamilton crashing out is Alonso's or Vettel's only hope of winning tomorrow , so it's natural some of you want him to crash out again ...
I would think suzuka is more a cake walk seeing how the RB is still likely very quick in the high speed turns.Pup wrote:Does it matter? I don't think anyone at RB will sleep well tonight. Of the remaining races, this one was supposed to be their cake walk.
