I think he wishes so, definitely.
But if we look at the 2003-2005 system, first qualifying was form according to championship positions IIRC.
Sorry your wrong it is not just MW wishing. He is correct.

Anyway it seems like the day will only start damp at worst.

That is a stupid rule, it used to be divided on WDC order like very other serious racing series on the planet - even the red-necks with their stock cars use Championship order to determine grids when qually is rained out! #-o

Simple, WDC order from the previous year.

I mean how stupid are car numbers, they could seriously ruin both Marks and Fernando's WDC for this year as Mark has car 6 and Nando Car 8!!! #-o

And Shumi and Nico Cars 3 & 4!!!! thats just dumb!!! #-o

Well, a five place grid penalty for Hamilton certainly doesn't help his title hopes.

What a load of horse sh1t.

Yes the cars are not designed for this much water but so what.

If it takes you 4 minutes to do a lap it takes you 4 minutes.

If you come off you were going too fast and the person whio did a lap did a better job.

If the race is only 15 laps due to the 2hr rule then is a 15 lap race.

If you come off your going too fast for the conditions, end of.

Kind of agree with that. I've raced my motorbike, very slowly, in rain as harsh as that looked! I was last...;-)

We've seen these conditions before and the cars are simply undrivable. There is no skill to getting the car around it's all luck for the most part.

Delays in sport happen all over. I don't want Mickey mouse quail to help decide a wdc.

Worried of webbo starting 6th? :P besides, chill. WDC order could seriously ruin Buton's chances.

It all boils down to how you see it, and who you want to win

Could actually care less about any driver or team. I think he is one of the more talented drivers, but I don't revel in others misfortune as a rule.

damp qualifying to affect start tyre choice?

Post

latest forecast seems to suggest that the track will still be wet enough for inters in qualifying
if this should prove to be correct , and there is then a dry race , all cars would presumably be able to choose their dry tyre to start on

is there a prospect of varying strategies amongst the top cars ....hamilton with his 5 place penalty perhaps ?
