Wow your analysis is stunning even for a guy with a Yellow helmet in your avatarbeelsebob wrote:So... red flag. My view on the incidents of importance so far...
1. HAM vs WEB... pure racing incident, WEB gave room, HAM tried to use it, understeered a bit wide.
2. HAM vs MSC... MSC moved twice and pushed HAM onto the grass – all MSC's fault.
3. HAM vs BUT... HAM was being a bit optimistic, but BUT shouldn't have moved over, probably accidental. Bottom line – while you don't expect drivers to just wave people past, you also don't expect them to push them off the road. The rules agree here "Manoeuvres liable to hinder other drivers, such as more than one change of direction to defend a position, deliberate crowding of a car beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal change of direction, are not permitted." – I don't think it was deliberate here, but I just wanted to point out to the "you can't just let them through" crowd – you also can't push them off the track.
Clearly shows they both chose to go left, Hamilton was committed, Button pushed him off the road (presumably unaware he was already alongside).FrukostScones wrote:
And you sir are a blatant fanboy. Care to explain exactly where beelsebob's analysis is so comical?flynfrog wrote:Wow your analysis is stunning even for a guy with a Yellow helmet in your avatarbeelsebob wrote:So... red flag. My view on the incidents of importance so far...

I'm with you on all 3 points. I think HAM trying to pass BUT was a perfectly fine attempt because all HAM did was drive to the outside of BUT. The only explanation can be that BUT did not see HAM, but then on the replay you can see that BUT is looking in his left mirror after leaving the chicane. So a misjudgement from BUT's part on HAMs exit speed advantage?beelsebob wrote:1. HAM vs WEB... pure racing incident, WEB gave room, HAM tried to use it, understeered a bit wide.
