Only if the other driver intends to run you off the road (which is against the rules). Presumably you don't like it when racing drivers... race?
I believe you also have to be half way past the car for them to have to give you room. I don't mind the racing but I don't feel bad Hammy hit the wall either he took a move he had no chance of making unless Jensson let him by
I don't believe the rule says anything about being half way past. It's illegal to force another car off the track, simple as that.

You believe wrong. There is no delineation in the rules, only that you must not force the other car off the road.

There's no such thing as a pass where the defender doesn't have the opportunity to turn into the overtaker or push them off the road. All overtakes rely on the defender being sensible and allowing room - this one was no different.

Yep, US GP in 2004. Aguri Suzuki was 3rd in Japan 91.

I think you are right, 2nd will be the best finish by a Japanese driver.

By that point it was too late and he probably would have lost control if he'd lifted. He was already having to countersteer due to his wheel being on the grass.
then maybe he should have taken a different line to start with.

hell im pretty sure I would not have seen a Truck at that point in my street car with big mirrors Button had no idea he was there.

show me where it says that in the regs.

Button ran the guy of the road simple.
No analysis required. No different than Hungary 2010, you saw that race did you?

Still a result after a race has been finished. The method of finishing the race doesn't matter in the record books.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Notably, barrichello was in exactly the same position when schumacher started the squeeze.

Do it to BAR you get a penalty; do it to HAM... well, we don't know yet, but I would bet the FIA will see it as HAM's fault.
