Yet he would have still been in the race. You have never been on a track have you? Moves like that never pay off.

So put yourself in the following drivers position. You would rather make a hasty move, get your car smashed and end up out of the race? You wouldn't prefer to back out and try again in a couple laps when you may have a better run on your opponent? That makes no sense to me at all.

I have actually, but that has little to do with it. Barrichello's move on Schumacher like that worked. If you always back out of an overtaking opportunity, as you seem to advocate, then you'll never win unless you qualify on pole.
