He was pushing to the end though, closed the gap to 1.7. makes me wonder what would have happened if those williams hadnt held him up.

The man's had a frustrating season. that scrap at monaco, the fact that he has yet to be on the podium this year, always scrapping it out with the mercs... What he did was out of line, and this doesn't make it right, but consider the whole picture. There was plenty of buildup leading into that ridiculous incident.

As to the msc's dabbling in aviation;

he was very close to perez in a short straight (the braking point was very close) and it probably would have required inhuman reflexes to not run into him if you dont back off and brake very early. He had room on either side as well, there just wasnt really enough time to move the car over there. Schumacher pushed hard, put himself in a bad situation, refused to back out and well... we all saw what happened. Easy to see now, but having fractions of a second to make that decision while baking in the car and trying to manage traction all at once is a tall order.

You can? What happened was irrifutably his fault. I can't see anyone (even ringo) saying otherwise.
You see, vall doesn't see that most of my posts are objective. Hamilton was at fault.
Massa went very deep, and becuase Lewis is so low in the car, he couldn't see the extremities of the car, Also Massa crawled out of the turn, which was unpredictable.
Massa put a lot of emotion into that strong defense, and put some more tears and frustration into his turn exit too.
Guy did the same thing in Q3. Slowing up the pace to mess with Lewis.

Shumi and Perez on the other hand... Rookie stuff all over again.

Too close from the turn exit. Must of though it was a 2005 car with the small wings.
For Sure!!

I understand the frustration, he's fighting tooth and nail to keep his seat in that Ferrari, a seat that Ferrari held for him while he was out after his accident in 09. Doing something like that doesn't exactly help though, 'sore loser' is not something that comes to mind when I think of Ferrari and it's heritage.

If you ask me he's wasting that seat, I would much prefer to see someone like Perez or Di Resta in that Ferrari. Here's to hoping Massa gets the boot sooner rather than later.

Stunning stunning drive by the WC! great race management, great control and awesome to see how well he handled the back markers and the charge by Button. Stunning drive by Button as well... Alonso to me was below par...Webber in a good place thirdn...Hamilton..a well deserved 5th after yet another race mistake.
Yeah, I'd have to say that's pretty much the best way to sum up the race. I find one thing interesting though, Button almost never matched Vettels fastest laps throughout the race but somehow at the end he was suddenly a second faster than him.

Was Vettel the one being easy on the engine or was actually Button using a different engine mode at the end? Because I found it very strange how Vettel could just pull away a second or two seconds a lap from the whole field whenever he needed to but suddenly at the end everything changed.
Vettel is very calculating. I think he remembers what happened in canada and would rather only push if he has to.
He has the pace. Not for one second did i think Button was going to catch him. He can pull half a second in Q3 and in the first few laps of the race; he can do it at the end as well.
I was wondering why the gap was so huge in the beginning, 20s?. Button need to stop the vulture style driving. It's not hepling and it's only fooling fans into thinking if only this or only that, he would have caught vettel.
Button needs to find more pace. Put Hamilton up there, if he's lucky enough to survive the mayhem  , and the gap would shrink.
The last minute dash was of no help to Button, both changed tyres the same time and Vettel's showed no sign of tyre weakness.
For Sure!!

What did Massa say to him?
Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

I thought during the race that Vettel tried to "lure" Button into pushing himself out, but obviously wouldn't have helped with the title so probably just took it easy.

Hamilton is really making a waste of his speed, a second season in succession where he is just being a plain idiot and ruining his chances. It must be tough now that Button has also been quite fast and is collecting the points as usually.

"Good Job" as far as I can tell.

Has to be noted that that was a very sarcastic "Good job" rather than a sincere "Good job"

He should have sucker punched Massa.

He's right to tell him not to touch him. Felipe passed his place.

Lewis should have brought some of his basket ball and boxing buddies with him. Show felipe Baby it's disrespect to touch THE BOSS.

Driver of the race for me is Vettel, and Alonso. Vettel is master of execution.
He does what he has to and doesn't veer from the goal.

Alonso was fighting and kept coming in front of webber. Commendable.

Hamilton get's a nod as well, though he messed up with the Bulky. Would have been challenging vettel the whole race. But it was not to be. Unlucky from Q3 withe fuel problem and the webber block at the start.
Some pretty good overtakes and very angry relentless pace.

Button did ok to stay out of trouble. Wish he was a little faster though. Makes himself look a bit toothless with the lack of challenging.
Shout out to Di Resta. Wicked race.
For Sure!!

Di Resta would be my driver of the day. Hes always had the pace but various cock-ups mean hes never shown it on sunday. Congrats to him, that result has been a long time coming and I look forward to more strong performances from him.

Huh? Both drivers misjudged the car in front's breaking, I don't get the difference.
yes, pretty biased logic by WB

I believe he also said ''thanks for that'' again very sarcastically, could be wrong though.

“My thoughts is that again, I told you yesterday, he cannot use his mind. Even in qualifying, so you can imagine in the race.

“So, again, you know, what he did could have caused a big accident. And he’s paying for it, that the problem, he doesn’t understand, even paying for a problem, you know?

“Anyway, the problem was that I was in the middle so I had a puncture in my tyre and I pay a lot. I was not even lucky on the safety car because I’d stopped for the super softs in that moment to gain lap time.

“But them after five laps, six laps, the safety car came inside, and I had the wrong tyres to finish the race. So I was not very lucky as well with the strategy.

“And also, again, something happened with a guy who did how many times something with me this year? So many times.

“As I said it’s important the FIA is looking and penalising him all the time he is going in the car because he cannot think about it.”

This guy should shut up and focus on getting a seat for 2013.
Massa making himself look worse. What a hypocrite.
Hamilton owns him, just like how micheal left emotional scars on Rubens.

If you can't take the heat Massa, all you have to do is get out of the way when you see the Mp4 coming. Lift off the throttle, nice and slow.. Let it be, you can't win.
For Sure!!
