they have barely made any to be quite frank.Lycoming wrote:boulier admitted that they went backwards with some of their upgrades this year.
Yes it has, I also noticed that. Gold was better in my opinionN12ck wrote:Hi, Is it me or has the colour on the car gone from gold to cream? before british GP is it me or did it look gold, now it looks cream?
They can't afford it.N12ck wrote:Hi, Is it me or has the colour on the car gone from gold to cream? before british GP is it me or did it look gold, now it looks cream?
I thought it had, but why?!?!?! the gold is better, the legendary lotuses which these are praying tribute to were black and gold, not black and cream!!!govind112 wrote:YesYes it has, I also noticed that. True, but they need to get the best setup out of the car as they can as they are 22 points ahead of the Force India cars and if the Force Indias keep scoring at on average 5 points over the next 5 races, they are gone. I think the Force India car will catch them in the remaining GPs, its a dip of only €4m in the constructors table, but that €4m may be enough to make the R32 strong from the start or make the VJM/05 jump into the more active battle with the R32 next year.mith wrote:They'd be wise to scrap all development of this car and transfer all funds to R32. They can't catch Mercedes and probably won't be caught by other midfielders (point-wise).
Yes the blowing is very central to this car. It doesn't put the downforce on the rear axle like the other rear solutions.
It was a bold move and for a while it looked like it worked. I wonder what made them decide not to run the REE after they'd tested it in practice this year? Heidfeldt looked just as fast as Petrov from the start. Anyway, I think this was a one off and the reason for not seeing that many "spectacular" updates on the car is probably beacuse they realized there's not much more you can do to add performance to it as long as it has FEE.ringo wrote:Yes the blowing is very central to this car. It is also dependent on wind speed to perform. The rear blown solution's performance is not dependent on any external conditions.
For the FEE at low speeds the gases blow more perpendicular to the car. It is really tuned to work at a specific speed range which is another restriction.
So that is the weakness of the FE; more variables at play, restrictions and dependencies.
This feature wont be on the car next year it seems. It's too sensitive.
