Id take my data off WIlliams before James Allen to have a more relyable figure, even if it is a little more conservitive.

Buddh isnt as bad as Malasia, China or Silverstone where the fuel save is 6 laps at full fuel save mode.
Williams reckons 2.7kg/lap; which is similar to James Allen's. But how do you come in at 137kg? That's only worth 50.7 laps (137/2.7).
You then figure in fuel effect and the penalty it is per lap for lapping with 10kg of fuel every lap. Its quicker to fill the cars lower and save fuel at some point to make it to the end. Most teams are fuel saving as early as lap 2 or 3 now and usually using the first stint to save the most fuel.

Do you mean that because the leader could use the DRS to pull a gap?
Yes exactly...

A car being chased isn't meant to use drs by virtue of a backmarker... The whole point was to give the chasing car an advantage in exchange for the downforce lost from dirty air in corners. Now if the car in front can use drs while lapping, it just goes against the whole idea.

Yes I agree, anyway when lapping someone they are not 1 second behind them they are 1 lap in front so they shouldnt be allowed to use DRs, just makes sense. It was widely discussed at the start of the season but they have got this wrong and it needs to be changed

It's the first year for the DRS.

I don't need to explain to you the difficulties of implementing that kind of timing system to account for lapped vehicles. At least for year 1 that is a big ask.

Did I ask you to explain any difficulties, I just said that IMO it is wrong and needs to be changed, I dont know how they would account for lapped cars but I dont think it would be that hard to be honest.

probably a helluva lot quicker than if a cow were to wander on the track....

These elevations on the track are fantastic....up a hill into a right hander and then sweeps down hill...superb...this track is looking great.... 8)

Any predictions on pole position lap time?
