That's a load of crap for a start because in the first few lines MM says I wouldn't call that cheating. So where does he say that it's ok to cheat exactly?!Hudsonhawk. wrote:

My thoughts exactly.Hudsonhawk. wrote:Am i the only one who reads the above as MM acknowledges he cheated but then says its acceptable to do this because you only have a split second to make a cheating decision !!!

Here max says shoie isnt a cheat.FIA President Max Mosley believes Michael Schumacher should not be called a cheat for his incident in qualifying for which is got punished by the Monaco Grand Prix Stewards.
This is where i believe i am reading into the fact that its okay to cheat because you only have seconds to take a decision!!!!! We all know shoies decision....!!!"I wouldn't go as far as to say it was cheating," Mosley told Reuters. "You've got to take the thing in its context, in the heat of the moment when you are desperately trying to get on the front row of the grid and you've got a split second to take a decision."
In this 3rd quote he contradicts the first quote. In the first quote he said shoie doesnt cheat and here in the third quote he is saying, "well the stewards have all the information and they make the right decisions". THE DECISION IS HE CHEATED !!!Mosley though didn't feel the Stewards made a wrong decision. "The stewards have the advantage of having every detail, every piece of information and being able to know on previous laps where he braked, where he steered, accelerated, how quick he was going and so on," he said. "Armed with all that information, they come to a conclusion. It took them several hours, they went into great detail, it's how it should be done. That's sport."
"If you reach the conclusion that someone has done something that they shouldn't do, you've got to react. We've got to try and keep the playing field level. But these situations are always difficult."

No wonder this sport is going down hill.
Am i the only one who reads the above as MM acknowledges he cheated but then says its acceptable to do this because you only have a split second to make a cheating decision !!!
Had he not spun he would have been second on the grid, maybe third if Kimi hadn't been held up elsewhere on the track. Michael was fast that weekend, and could have kept up with anyone who was in front of him. Given that Ferrari have a master strategist, it would have been little trouble for Ferrari to have engineered the win assuming Schumacher was running in the top three. Thus while the pole is more important at Monaco than any other circuit, it isn't quite as important to Schumacher and Ferrari as you make out.RACKITUP wrote:Based on how hard it easy to overtake at Monaco, if you can secure the pole, you are virtually "given" the win, abeit failures.King of Spades wrote:I really can't get my head around the motivation for doing this. When exhibiting less-than-sporting behaviour back in '94 and '97 there were championships at stake; this was for only a qualifying position.
Exams for me have not yet begun. My coursework ended on Thursday, and my first exam is this coming Thursday.RACKITUP wrote:I'm at Southampton Uni doing 3rd year Aerospace, how're the exams going?
