I think since the summer break, Vettel has been on fire, driving to the same standard Alonso is and getting the maximum of his machinery, except for that Monza penalty.
No, Red Bull introduced an upgrade package which made them the fastest car in F1 again, basically now Red Bull have the quali pace from 2010/11 back, he is able to run and hide at the front and avoid actually racing other drivers, which we all know is his weak point. When the Red Bull wasn't as fast as the Mclaren, he struggled badly.
I believe that's bs that he can't race other drivers.. Just look at Belgian gp this year. He worked around his car's lack of high top speed to come 2nd while Webber wasn't able to do anything to circumvent his car's limitation. In my eyes Vettel is not only a fast but a really smart racer. And I'm not really that big of a fan of his.

Awful race, sector 2 showed entire grandstand areas empty and the entire two straights again completely devoid of anyone but marshals.

We do the teams have to travel to such jokes of locations to race infront of a few people, i know its a sport based on TV spectators, but we have sacrificed some fantastic historic tracks to have these characterless GP's thrown in the mix.

As other people have mentioned, the 8+laps of yellow flags in the DRS zone were a joke.

Also can someone clarify the race distance rule? is it a MINIMUM or MAXIMUM rule? a month ago i believed it was 300km, then i was told this was 305km... yet Korea GP was 308km?

So much hate against Alonso , he is a top driver , but the car is just awful.

We have witnessed here in Korea the end of the championship.

Looking forward to 2013.

Sorry to go on, but can anyone answer my question as to what the race distance rule is?

Is the 305km rule MINIMUM or MAXIMUM race distance as originally i was lead to believe it was 300km, later to be told it was 305km and then today the race was 308km (intended)

so before we have more stupid posts from fanboys discussing Ferrari politics, can we actually talk about 2012 Korean GP - Yeong-AM just like the tittle of the thread suggests?

They end after the first lap that takes the race distance over 305 km, right?

Yep. Only exception is Monaco with 260km. Singapore should be shorter too IMO.

Webber had a shorter final driver than Vettel, Horner talked about it. It was sufficient to make the difference and allow Vettel to overtake.

FYI we are discussing the korean GP, THE FACT THAT FERRARI IS SO FU ( ALONSO in paticular)
now to awnser your un important question:
race distance is as close as possible to 300Km's to the nearest full lap
that means: if you have a 3KM track it would be 100 laps = 300KM
if you have a 5.5 KM trac it would be 54.545454545454 laps but you can not do .54545454 laps so the distance is 55 laps, that is 302.5Km. this includes formation lap.

Because 54 laps would have been less than 305km.

5.615KM's X 55 laps = 308.825 KMs
if it was 54 laps with formation it would be 297kms

I am not hater if I talk about facts.
Lotus were using team orders in Singapore too, but Grosjean first defended Kimi heavily after the restart. On the secend ocassion, the team told him that Kimi is faster.Massa must not come closer that +-2 seconds from Alonso.

Alonso is cry baby.Abu Dhabi 2010, Bahrain 2012, Italy 2012, Suzuka 2012, Korea 2012.

Yes, I am Raikkonen's fan.Problem?Everybody knows that he is the one of rare pure RACING DRIVERS on grid today.
Fernando Alonso is the best pay-to-drive driver in F1 with the biggest amount of money behind him.
