He got off too lightly.FrukostScones wrote:drive through for hulk, are they joking?
Why was Vettel lucky? And that thing with Grosjean is just bullshit, if this, and that, Alonso never had anyRedragon wrote:All in all this championship was decided by Grosjean.
I am sure Alonso should have finish with more than 3 points that race. But we will never know.
Today Vettel was really lucky, a crash with three cars involved and it is the only one coming out from there.
But this is F1. Alonso finished second because Hukenberlg and Hamilton incident.
Vettel got a great car again and he won. Well deserve it.
Alonso, didn't have the car but he took well his chances. Always there.
Hamilton for sure was the most unlucky of the year. Should have been on this last fight.
Let's hope 2013 is as exciting as 2012
So there are two yellow flag incidents... I think the one in that video is not a true incident, there has to be a yellow flag in that sector and I don't think there was
Yeah agree with you.JimClarkFan wrote:So there are two yellow flag incidents... I think the one in that video is not a true incident, there has to be a yellow flag in that sector and I don't think there was

Not sure though this is on Maurisia.
Pat Fry say pretty much the same thing: it was for slippery; and if it was a "yellow" yellow, Vettel had no chance to give the position back as Koba pitted just after. So they won't complain.WhiteBlue wrote:I suggest that some of the more extreme posters have a look at the emotional junk they have posted about this incident. To answer many it appears the warning lights were red and yellow for slippery track not yellow so nothing to answer for Vettel.
+1. Pic and Petrov delivered a great battle too.WhiteBlue wrote: All drivers did a good job. Button, Hamilton and Massa were particularly outstanding and also Hülkenberg did a good job to lead a race for so many laps considering his experience.
Alonso and Vettel did a good job as well. Vettel's left rear tyre was overheating from the damaged exhaust. The rain helped to cool it down and so he could catch up in the last part of the race. The rain has probably decided the championship. So both contenders did the best in a race that was decided by luck.

There's no penalty. Confirmed. Forget about it mate.
Don't worry. Same people forget the incredible amount of luck experienced by a certain WDC in 05 & 06.mbvinnie wrote:So let me get this straight.
Vettel gets spun around, goes to back of field, has a badly damaged car, loses radio, has a incorrect strategy call, and a slow pitstop and makes his way through the field well to 6th and is lucky.
While Alonso leaves the track twice, inherits 4th through an incident between 2 cars clearly ahead of him, gets gifted 2nd from Massa and is unlucky???
Vettel was clearly quicker at almost all points of the race.
