That was the tensest finale I ever witnessed. Proper nail biter. Just what 2012 deserved.

Well done to both Vettel and Alonso. I don't know what stuff's the RB8 is made of.

guys let's be fair!! I'm not fan Vettel but i respect him!! (before this race i pray for Fernando because he's a amazing) but like i said! let's be fair! Sebastian deserve this title. He was Lucky today because with those contacts he finished the race when he could retire after turn 2. He was nice today ! smart and patient behind Kobayashi and Michael.

In Abu Dhabi he start on pit lane and scores good points also today when he was last driver on track with huge gap. so i congratulate him but also i want to break his finger

I am sure Alonso should have finish with more than 3 points that race. But we will never know.
Today Vettel was really lucky, a crash with three cars involved and it is the only one coming out from there.
But this is F1. Alonso finished second because Hukenberlg and Hamilton incident.

Vettel got a great car again and he won. Well deserve it.
Alonso, didn't have the car but he took well his chances. Always there.
Hamilton for sure was the most unlucky of the year. Should have been on this last fight.

Let's hope 2013 is as exciting as 2012
Why was Vettel lucky? And that thing with Grosjean is just bullshit, if this, and that, Alonso never had any
business in de WDC, he only won races because his car showed reliabiltiy, where others failed.
He is a good racer yes, but doesn't deserve the title this year.

So there are two yellow flag incidents... I think the one in that video is not a true incident, there has to be a yellow flag in that sector and I don't think there was

Actually you can see the next flag up ahead as we'll and that is yellow too. Can't say that I see any red in that flag...or the one down the track.

Edit.. in the pic. Not the video.

To answer many it appears the warning lights were red and yellow for slippery track not yellow so nothing to answer for Vettel.
I suggest that some of the more extreme posters have a look at the emotional junk they have posted about this incident. We should have a bit of trust in the race officials. If there had been a transgression I would have at least expected a protest by Ferrari and an investigation. It did not happen and so the regular assumption was that there was no problem.
Pat Fry say pretty much the same thing: it was for slippery; and if it was a "yellow" yellow, Vettel had no chance to give the position back as Koba pitted just after. So they won't complain.

WhiteBlue wrote: All drivers did a good job. Button, Hamilton and Massa were particularly outstanding and also Hülkenberg did a good job to lead a race for so many laps considering his experience.
Alonso and Vettel did a good job as well. Vettel's left rear tyre was overheating from the damaged exhaust. The rain helped to cool it down and so he could catch up in the last part of the race. The rain has probably decided the championship. So both contenders did the best in a race that was decided by luck.
+1. Pic and Petrov delivered a great battle too.
And Raikkonen had a wonderful moment  (twice with the schumacher overtaking)

Vettel gets spun around, goes to back of field, has a badly damaged car, loses radio, has a incorrect strategy call, and a slow pitstop and makes his way through the field well to 6th and is lucky.

While Alonso leaves the track twice, inherits 4th through an incident between 2 cars clearly ahead of him, gets gifted 2nd from Massa and is unlucky???

Vettel was clearly quicker at almost all points of the race.
Don't worry. Same people forget the incredible amount of luck experienced by a certain WDC in 05 & 06.
