I'm afraid you don't understand my point...
The fact that from Germany they said they were giving instructions and strict guidelines that would be enforced mean.....
That if they are doing this from Germany that means that prior to Germany there were no strict guidelines to follow..only suggestions.

I have to disagree with that - they are normally not responsible for any damage caused when the tires are used outside of their specifications, whether they say if they are "strickt" or not. The problem is that they are getting the blame in the media, so they went to the FiA and made sure that the teams must obey them before they get more blame. This was a clusterf*ck from the beginning on, caused by Bernie, and everyone is to blame.

I think it's semantics or something,,no sweat..the bottom line is too low pressures and I guess too much camber though I don't see it, but maybe the answer there lies in the EOS measurement. I still highly doubt the unidirectional bull.

The teams have been looking for more performance by turning them around.
It's Pirelli and Steve Matchett that are trying to say they are unidirectional, which as slicks, they are not.
Pirelli and Steve are trying to say it has to do with which way the belts are wrapped, which if true would put almost every road car tire, especially those driven soft, in danger of exploding,,which we know they do not.
But heck..you're free to believe the moon is made of cheese if you like.

When you have made mistakes, and certainty we've made them over the years including this one, there is always a reluctance to admit them. There is always a fear of what the media will make it. But it was also clear to many that there were issues with the tyres. There was a reluctance to admit it - and teams will always lobby for their own competitive self-interest. As I said to Pirelli for quite a few weeks before Silverstone: 'You cannot listen to the teams on this one. You guys are the tyre experts; you have responsibility to give us safe tyres. You have to make the right call'.

If a sports car tyre is north of $ 325 you can bet F1 tyres to cost at least $ 500 if they were commercially available.
