For all we know it wont happen anytime soon. They said they wont announce anything before Dec 1st, they did not say they will make an announcement on Dec 1st. :D I really hope it happens soon though. Button and Alonso at McLaren-Honda, thats what I wanna hear. Cmon Woking, stop joking with us.

Surely Honda would want two world champs at the wheel, right? I wonder if at this point it is too late though because Button seems to be done with entire thing.

Very early in the morning in the U.K, you'd expect within the next 12 hours :)
Well they've said after Dec 1st, not on Dec 1st so I don't really think we will get any news today or soon :(

Hopefully I'm wrong

But although many were eagerly expecting an announcement to be made on December 1, Italy's Italiaracing reports that the world will not hear any news until at least Thursday or Friday.

Spain's El Mundo Deportivo claims there is plenty of activity behind closed doors at Woking, with Ron Dennis discussing the ownership of McLaren with fellow shareholder Mansour Ojjeh.

The report also said Dennis is believed to have been in Denmark last week for talks with the Magnussen-linked sponsor Bestseller, as well as Lego and Saxo Bank.

as ever in F1 it will be a case of follow the money
if KM can bring it from denmark he will get it , button can't compete ...he only has a chance if there isn't any money

people tend to forget that honda has a different agenda to McLaren , it's the WDC which gets all the attention so alonso as a clear number one driver will be fine with them , WCC would be no more than a bonus ; but the teams get paid on the WCC !

Silent Bob (RAI) is probably going to get a new race engineer - from Spagnolo to Dave Lloyd to finally play with Dave Greenwood from Marrusia.
Stela sails away to Mclaren with Alonso (I'm shocked :))

Depending on how you look at it KM already brought some Danish money, the guys who owns Bestseller also owns ~28%
of Asos which has been on the rear wing all year

hardly a title sponsor ...on that basis button brings some money , he has the image that Santander wants to promote their bank in the UK , a major market

Ron's parting gift for Kevin

Anyway, I'd have a hard time believing Saxo Bank can be taken seriously as a sponser since Santander surely will be coming in with Alonso [ they have been in all along though ]. So; 2 banks on 1 livery? Don't see that happening.
It'll be either Santander or Saxo Bank, and frankly, I don't think Saxo Bank remotely stands a chance versus Santander.

I neither am convinced Lego can have any serious ground in F1 as a sponser. Yes, to sell toys for small boys - but that's about it.

Ownership discussion definately will be going on behind the doors, yes.
A shock announcement from woking?

I can see a shock announcement; Ron Dennis parts with Mclaren after X years.

I have to admit as a Lego Technic fan this intrigues me. I can dream of a nice 1500+ piece McLaren set in the likes of previous sets such as 8674 and 8461

This image sums up McLaren's problem. Here's a major luxury brand paying money to sponsor an F1 team and in return they get an image of an anonymous driver. The other ads in the series has a recognizable sports star, ie Sharapova & Ronaldo. I imaging TAG are a bit annoyed they can't have a smiling Button or Alonso in that pic, so they're also running an ad with Steve McQueen in his racing helmet.

Also the strapline is rather apt for McLaren at the moment!
