3-4 kmph is nothing, I take that as very encouraging given that we know there is a problem with the engine and they aren't therefore running it at full power

Why not? Even with stupid flu you can have a bad moment physically when you need a break and be fine enough on the next day. Although some cynics might say he wanted to test Rosberg's neck but that wouldn't be nice and I'm certain such games are alien to this Mercedes driver.

Flu's don't disappear in a day. In fact if he had the flu he wouldn't have even been able to make it to the track.

More likely was just a virus or cold.

The issue with flu is that you have to be careful at all times. Even if you don't feel really ill, it will eat at you during prolonged physical burden. The worst case scenario is it can attack the heart under exertion. Luckily, that happens on only rare occasions.

I just hope he doesn't push himself too hard

well I seriously hope the cars can go a lot faster than that if Sergio Perez can do a 1:24.7 in a 2014 force India
I am sure that they are very far from going at 100%

Yes, but Perez was reportedly on super softs.

Is there any way of finding out the laptimes of the runs done by the teams during testing? not just the headline times but all those in between. Many of the teams are doing race runs, Now those will give us a good understanding of where each team is at the moment!

How do you mean?

Maybe Rosbergs neck problems haven't cleared so he couldn't do this afternoon?

I think you are thinking too much into this. Not really a game when you miss most of your first days testing and half of another day. Maybe Mercedes have genuinely rested Rosberg to not aggravate his neck, like they said they have?

It's just managing a bad situation, neither driver is fully fit to drive the car at the moment.
