Does anyone know how Sergio's best laptime compare to the Q3 time of the VJM07 last year?

Personally I look back and think of the vettel/bourdais combination as being their finest. Often gets forgotten that bourdais was third on the grid in the famous monza 2008 race and had his big opportunity ruined by stalling on the grid.

Also- and I'm prepared to eat humble pie on this after ricciardo- I think red bull is sacrificing a lot of experience in their entire lineup which may come back to bite them. It's a conscious strategy on their part, but there's no one in any of the four cars with a wealth of experience, and conventional logic would tell you it's not the best recipe for success.

Time will tell, I guess.
And yet people had faith in Bottas Leading Williams all by himself.....

We MIGHT have gotten a first glimpse of the performance of the Mercedes: 0.349 off the fastest time, but with the medium tyre (Ricciardo was on soft). It was a 3 lap stint.

And Sevach beat me to it.

@f1writers running without ERS. What does that tell us?

Any confirmations for that?

Agreed that proper flu knocks most people for a week, so he hasn't had that. Agreed it'll be some sort of mild virus such as a cold.

However I do have to question how it could be a virus or a cold. :?

Kimi uses a different entry line than most (everybody?) into the t-10 hairpin.

Either way, it's probably better that he got out of the car, it's safer for him, and everyone else on circuit.

#F1 Changed seating position in the car caused Rosbergs neck problems. So he changed it back. AMuS (in German): http://ams.to/nico

Nico's neck problems are very worrying and I can't understand some reactions on the forum here.

Or just me being ignorant to medical terms...

I had the flu once - knocked me out for a full month and I was not 100% until a couple of months after that. Since then I laugh when people claim to have the flu yet they are still walking.

A cold is a virus, like a horse is an animal.

tell me about it, i picked up a viral infection of my throat in mid january, cleared that up in a week but hardly moved round the house for another week or so, i'm still off work as i can only walk for about ten minutes without needing a rest

the old doctors' way of telling the difference between a bad cold and the flu was quite accurate, put a ยฃ50 note on the floor and if the patient will get out of bed to pick it up, they've got a bad cold
