So, Mercedes on hard tyres is going as the others on mediums?

Why the hell are there no drones in an official or unofficial capacity at these tests? They seem to be everywhere else these days, would provide some cool footage I'm sure.

Could you imagine a drone hitting a driver helmet? Drones are not allowed at racetracks.

Fair point but I'm talking footage from a lot higher up than helmet height or even on the track trajectory.

Wonder if this is car failure related and whether Button will even make it out on track today- McLaren really up against it as far as mileage is concerned.

Yeah but safety question are fair one. So get this aside hope Alo will get OK.

The lap times from the second stint from the race sim for Romain Grosjean, on the medium tyres: 1:31.1, 1:31.1, 1:31.1, 1:31.1, 1:30.6, 1:31.4, 1:30.9, 1:30.9, 1:31.2, 1:31.9, 1:31.1 and 1:31.4.

For first stint on soft tires between Williams and Lotus:
13:24 Bottas and Grosjean are both on soft tyres and lapping in the 1m30s.
13:29 Bottas and Grosjean lapping very similarly , thought the Lotus has dropped off the last couple of laps.
13:31 Grosjean's laptimes jumped to the 1m33s but have been consistent since. Bottas is creeping up, his last lap was a 1m32.0s.
13:34 Vettel, Rosberg, Grosjean and Bottas remain on track. Grosjean's times have fallen away properly now, that last lap was a 1m36s.
13:36 Grosjean pits now, and takes on mediums. Bottas continues in the 1m32s.

The first stint for Valtteri Bottas consisted of 16 laps on the soft tyre.

Seems for now Williams have advantage in tire management.

14:18 Consistent 1m30s for the Lotus and Williams. We don't know fuel loads of course, but it's an impressive pace on the hard tyre by Bottas. (Autosport)

Come on Mercedes show us something of your real pace! Put the softs on and go for a performance run!

14:14 Grosjean's on the mediums. His and Bottas' laptimes last time round were 0.010s apart - in favour of the Williams. (Autosport)

Are mediums faster than hard tires or reverse? T

Everybody in this topic is waiting for that moment :D , including me. I think Mercedes could do 1:23:2 on the softs. 2 seconds faster then last year qualy time on the medium tyre.
