Looks like it's false. Someone at the track saw Nico use DRS on his fast lap and posted the video on autosport's forum.kooleracer wrote:David "Crofty" Croft has confirmed that the laptime set by Nico Rosberg on the soft tires was without DRS usage. So the saga continuous. I still think that Mercedes could do a 1:23.2 ( 2 seconds faster then last years poll) on medium set of tires with the usage of DRS.

Id like to know how people can prove that they have a video of the fastest lapOverdriving wrote:Looks like it's false. Historically mclaren never crack on with it on time. Even during the race weekends, for instance if one of the drivers misses a practice session, you'd expect them to be one of the first out on track the following session- nope not mclaren, they usually have the excuse of 'waiting for the track to rubber in'. It doesn't wash with me I'm afraid.Thunders wrote:Anyone have an idea why McLaren almost never starts testing at 9? They are always at least half an hour late to the Party.

Clutching at straws: is there some logic to ss actually wearing out too soon in these conditions? Perhaps softs are actually better.
I spot (right to left) Mattia binotto, james allison, maurizio arrivabene for ferrari toto wolf for mb and yasuhisa Arai for honda. I'd bet the other one are gonna be horner and some renault guysMesteño wrote:https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B-7aSyqXAAAffa_.jpg
