WEll... Brake by wire as you know, is really changing the braking power by way of the KERS generator. The KERS unit is connected to the crankshaft and cannot discriminate between left or right wheel.
It can be used as an ABS just as much as you could use the throttle for it. (non-proportional throttle response is banned though). However I don't know the response time of the KERS unit to pulsating inputs. Not sure if it is as fast as an ABS unit.
