- it's effective but a bit awkward for F1 (slow), Suzuka is better. Track is fine (overtaking possible) but Russia showed different aspects decide if races are interesting. All the doom and gloom predictions and a very interesting one.THE MOST breath taking run down to turn 1 on the F1 calendar.
Williams and red bull yes, FI not so much. Unlike sochi there's actually some proper high speed turns and S3 will just kill perez and hulk's efforts.ringo wrote:It will be interesting if williams obstructs Ferrari here. It would put Vettel under a lot of pressure to stay in the fight.
I think Williams may in fact be second best at this track. Perez and Hulk also will factor into the fight with redbull and Ferrari.
Well, there have been a lot of tracks where Williams should have at least been on par with the Ferrari. To be honest, while Hamilton and Vettel have been doing whatever is possible in their respective cars, their competition is a bit underwhelming. Rosberg, Bottas, Raikkonen and Massa at times have been nowhere. Also, Williams on the pit wall always seem to be day dreaming.ringo wrote:It will be interesting if williams obstructs Ferrari here. I think the only team doing worse is Sauber.Schuttelberg wrote:Also, Williams on the pit wall always seem to be day dreaming.
I dont think so because Austin requires a powerful PU but I wasnt expecting points for team in Russia so we will see. It would be great to see a constant improvement for the team until the championship ends. At least to leave some hope for 2016.dren wrote:I expect Lewis to take his 3rd title here. Such a lovely track. I was at the first two races and I remember when Hamilton in the McLaren chased down Vettel and passed him to take the victory. I love the Ss section. This track is such a huge improvement over the Indy track, there is no comparison. I also look for Honda to make a step improvement with their PU in Alonso's car. Maybe a points finish for him on merit?
+ Ferrari will get penalty for engine change. if they decide to do it hereME4ME wrote:I don't think Ferrari stand a chance this weekend against Mercedes. Track layout is in some way similair to Suzuka which high speed corners in S1 and a long straight later in the lap as well as some medium speed corners. The only reason Vettel was running close to Rosberg was because Rosberg ran wide at the start at Suzuka. Mercedes were several tenths quicker through the esses. I expect the same in Austin, but hopefully Rosberg can do more to fight Hamilton for the win.
