where is your evidence that landos dad is paying mclaren for his seat? or that he has mega endorsements like perez? if you have them then post them up, if not, then why are you even saying this? alonso had a big bank endorsement when he went to ferrari, does that make him a pay driver too?
Even Sainz is clearly faster than Norris, Sainz who was clearly beaten by Hulkenberg who is mediocore driver, not to say he was destroyed by overrated and hyped Crashstapen. So yeah Norris is in F1 10%on talent 90%on Daddy.
I know you're depressed because your god Fernando retired, but don't take it out on our drivers. We all appreciate Fernando's talents and contributions to McLaren F1 team, he's still in the family. Meanwhile, go make a Fernando tribute page. Or better still, be more aggressive with your propaganda campaign to get Ferrari to rehire him. Just layoff our young drivers who are doing a fantastic job.
No deal.

As a luck Sainz got free tier choice. So, don't think it will improved the situation.

Let see how the new package works in Spain. I would bet they will be more stronger in next year. I would like them to beat RB in before end of this year race or in 2020.

Interesting to see. What is great is that our pace in the race is much better.

I'd be happier if we could make the car faster over one lap more than anything else as race pace is fairly strong. Being ahead of the midfield and in behind Red Bull would alter our racing outlooks quite a lot.
Sainz probably would've qualified 1 or 2 places higher if not for the yellow flag. His Q2 time was only a tenth down on Norris' Q3 time.
orange car whit Alonso behind the wheel would be on par whit Crashstapen.
Yup. now days Crashtapen not Crashing may be due to Honda? :D

With Racing Point just 1 point behind and still using their last year spec car they look set to overtake McLaren Renault next race when RPs real 2019 package arrives in Barcelona.
It's Stroll funding vs Latifi funding, and Perez' remarks on Lawrence Strolls commitment and energy make it obvious the team is on a upward trajectory and have 4th place in their sights and within reach. I'm sure Perez is keen to overtake McLaren too. Now the pressure is on for who brings the best package upgrades.
Actually, Racing Point aren't using last year spec. They arrived Melbourne with one of, if not the most heavily revised packages from the winter tests, which Checo admitted weren't working as expected initially. If anything, McLaren is much closer to the preseason spec than Racing Point.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

i still see no evidence. so im just going to rest my case right here.

For all we know RP's new package will not work and McLaren's new package will or Vise versa. It wouldn't be the first time. So wait and see. Don't spout out Grandiose expectations when you, like the rest of us, really have no clue how it's gonna play out.

Lando is very optimistic :D

Question: the Team is preparing new items for the next stage, on what progress do you expect in Barcelona

Lando Norris: I hope we will play a second [-o< ! The guys at the base are doing their best, preparing new items. I do not know what progress they will make, but it is important that it be. This is especially important in Barcelona - the Spanish route is demanding on the efficiency of aerodynamics, and we need to add to this.
Hope is different to expect, as a driver he obviously hopes the upgrades will work even better than expected

I´d be very very happy with half a second, that would close the gap to RB seriously, to the point at some race they could even fight for a podium. Depending on others upgrades obviously

I'm wondering how Ricciardo currently feels. Last year he said Renault was the logical decision, because of the state McLaren was in. I'm really surprised how bad Renault is doing, expected them to clear the midfield this year.
Same here, but I still hope :D they can solve it

I think people do need to wait a little mclaren are P4 and renault are 6 points behind. Its not like Ricc went to williams bless them.. far too many good people at Renault for the team to struggle.
However its goes to show that if you were somebody like Sergio perez i wonder how you would get on driving a top tier car.... same for Ricc, given the car he will be up their. Your turn Renault.
So impressed with the ‘new’ mclaren structure and changes- norris is an absolute find..!
We knew if you saw the stints he did vs alonso when they both raced sportscars together. He is a talent for sure.

McLaren will certainly take a step forward, but everyone else will as well, some more than others. I said it before, this car has plenty of scope for development.

They only have one driver, and stroll.

Mclaren have been relatively conservative while they validated the car and made sure last year didn't repeat. Expect the pace to pick up for development and parts from the Spanish GP, one thing Mclaren have always been a powerhouse for.

Compared to Renault McLaren gained a lot. Similar to the advantage RB used to have.
Looks to me McLaren is in the same position as RB was. Good chassis limited by engine performance.

In short this says a lot about the current chassis. It's performing really well. =D>
And says a lot about the engine....the gap to the front has grown bigger, Renault is not catching up....

Performance wise aero-gaines will be minimal, but every millisecond counts.
Personally if they can get Petrobas through with testing the fuel, that could be an possible extra gain. (We can always dream Abiteboul grants actual dyno time....and not 1 dyno test after 3 months waiting....and then a few months more to get the results back....)
The other option left is to put more load on the engine (and risking a shorter engine life or engine failure).

Well Renault went backwards. I expected them to clear the midfield, but just look at the gigantic step McLaren. Not looking good for them.
