Interesting they are taking new CE. I know they had a bit of fragility early on but it wasn't the sort of component that I would really expect to "wear out" per se. Taking one now means that when they release their Spec 3 ICE it will have to be "compatible" with the existing CE. Possibly limiting what they can do. Seems a bit odd to just take that and nothing else.

I mean currently all Ferrari powered cars are on last years CE spec so don't think compatibility is generally a big issue. Wonder why Kimi needed a new ICE, TC and MGU-H though..

IF it is a wet race Vettel’s issues yesterday might turn out to be his luck if they start him from the pit on a fully wet optimized setting
True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.

Track parade to start in 45 minutes. We'll see how the weather is then.

I heard Vettel didn't change set up.

Anyone who knows who changed what so far? I'm a bit lost

Didn’t every Ferrari powered car take their allocated 2nd CE after it failed for LeClerc and caused him to lose a race win early on this year which they then had to fix? I said at the time that it was a long old season to just have the (then) new 1 left.

Yes they did. Looked like there was a flaw in all 6 units.

Well then I guess Vettel has now solved that issue with this then. LeClerc however has that issue still to bite him at some point.

At first I thought HAM was just inside the limits but this clearly shows he was as much over it as Gasly
On sky they said regarding that corner it was if the drivers touched the green astro. I guess Hamilton didnt touch it. If you read the comments others also confirm it.

Why different corners have different rules regarding track limits is beyond me. It should be the white line all around the track. Can you imagine the same rules in football if the ball crosses the line in some places you can carry on....

Just watching the drivers parade, its raining only light rain, inters should be fine and the track should dry out quickly if/when it stops. This should be a great race.

Forecast has changed too, 50/50 chance now

Different corners different rules is perfectly fine because they are *dramatic music* different, and so are the track specific gains/consequences. Silverstone some years ago when some corners were fine and some were not, harder rules on the last corner in Austria for obvious reasons, lenient ones for specific corner in Baku (you know the one, after the tightest section next to a tower) and so on and so forth.

Now imagine different rules for different drivers/teams  like for example Hamilton impeding Grosjean in Silverstone, or cutting corner in Mexico, or causing collsion in Barcelona. That would be the horror the mob wouldn't cheerlead, would they?
