The forecast is for strong winds all Sunday, gusts over 70kph blowing NorthEast so any car with unstable yaw during turning will be blown away by the time they finish the corners. Prime candidates are: RedBull, Ferrari, Alfa.
Expect multiple safety cars and crashes, could be good hunting ground for Williams to score multiple points.

Why do you think that those cars have unstable yaw?

Seems like Bottas has less drag than Hamilton, way faster top speed in the non-drs areas.
I wonder if they converge...

Bottas also slightly faster than Leclerc heading into 130R, but that could(emphasis on could before people come here shooting me) be down to Ferrari having an old engine on the car.

I think Bottas just got a great tow,as mentioned before. Bottas tops out at 315kph while Hamilton could only do 305kph before 130r. That is some major speed advantage.

Also of note is that the Merc (Bottas only, as Hamilton had traffic) could take the first Degner in 7th gear while Leclerc needed 6th gear. It just shows the grip levels are just higher on the Merc. Makes sense as Merc just brought updates so maybe they have firmly returned to the top again.

That's a very nice observation re Degner! And I agree. The bargeboard/side pod vane area on these cars seems to be a ripe area of development.

This year Bahrain and Baku were windy but not to that level, about 50kph gust. RedBull seem to strugggle massively under such circumstances.

I was going through the Suzuka lap from 2017 and thought to make a comparison vid like Juzh. First time doing it so unsure if I selected the most accurate start point but I went with when their throttle becomes "intentional" for the start of the lap. Also posted in W10 thread.

It's almost 11AM and I took a little walk outside my quarters here in Suzuka and the rain and wind is definitely picking up. Bullet trains stopped running and Mie prefecture will get hammered. They are talking bout 900 mm of rain from Typhoon 19. Supposed to clear out by 3 AM Sunday.

Ispano-san was spot on about Ferrari exhaust fumes. I thought who is starting a wood campfire in the Ferrari's pits haha
