It's so nice not to have a dog in the controversy du jour. Let's see what happens on Sunday.
Max could have killed Valterri if he had lost control of his RedBull in that corner. Flooring it past the yellow is a serious offence and he should have gotten a five place grid drop minimum. He has much to learn young Max.
Ideally, he should have got a race ban. It's a matter of a fellow driver's life which he did not respect. FIA should not wait for a life to be affected due one individual's stupidity. They have to set strong precedence.
The Oracle would ask, would he have gotten a penalty if the car was painted red? I'm glad they did it, but I know it was done simply because the circumstance allowed it to be so. Japan's all four wheels out was clearer than this, so consistency is not consistent when it comes to our beloved sport.

Did the stewards not let him go in Austria, for clearly pushing a driver off the track? Leniency is being generously dished out to all and sundry. He would have gotten away if not for his loud mouth, which is the only thing they take offence of. The lesson is not here for dangerous driving, it's for keeping the mouth shut.

Verstappen improved on his ‘provisional’ pole in the final Q3 run. By flooring-it past the wreckage of Bottas while others did not improve on their previous set times by lifting. At first the FIA did not deem-it necessary to launch an investigation, and Verstappen kept his pole position. But after qualifying in the press conference his big mouth not possible to be kept shut, he cheekily said he was aware of Bottas wreckage and still didn’t lift. He “Verstappen” didn’t even needed to stay flat-out by not lifting past the wreckage on track, he’d already got pole. But just for his big mouth.

If Vettel makes a fabuleus start and passes Leclerc, are we going to have a 2nd 'Sochi' story? :) =D>

2nd rate Bottas couldn't keep it out of the wall. Thanks for ruining it. Hoping Max gets his vengeance. The tow will help. We already won pole, now just need to win the goddamn race.

Oh well, Verstappen can still win tomorrow, only difference is now he gets a tow from the Vettel instead of the other way around.

There are more chances of a mindless coming together of the Red Bull of Verstappen and the Ferraris, once again allowing Mercedes to run away. Toe, late breaking a sequence of first two corners that allow cars to fight. Carbon Carnage!

Mercedes have said that they are 90% sure that Bo77ass will not need any parts that would require a penalty so he should start 6th

I've got a feeling the penalty won't change anything for Max, the Ferrari pair were always going to swamp him and Lewis will be super cautious as usual so he will be 3rd after the first corner.

In these kind of event, Ferrari always takes penalty. Always exemplary punishments. So stop saying

The question is: would Verstappen have gotten a penalty if he was aware of his mistake?

Definitely not smart, he was always going to get a penalty on review, but to carry on the way he has strongly suggests he has a lot more maturity left to acquire.
