Really? do you have any source ? or is it just your opinion?
That's where the xylon side impact protection bonds on.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 23:33Look at the right hand side of the photo where the tub narrows in front of the cockpit and the halo's front leg. There's a hole and what looks like a split. It would have been above the driver's knees.
Joe Saward amongst others (some of the-race.com crew too)
The hole is on the top surface and the "crack" runs across the top and down the side.jjn9128 wrote: ↑30 Nov 2020, 01:07That's where the xylon side impact protection bonds on.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 23:33Look at the right hand side of the photo where the tub narrows in front of the cockpit and the halo's front leg. You asked, I answered. Google those sites if you care enough (it takes more that 3 minutes, his good stuff is in the comments) Shrug.siskue2005 wrote: ↑30 Nov 2020, 01:16cant find anything from the above people, please site the link of your claim that "A decent few people in the paddock don't rate Mick."
Believe it or not fuel doesn't burn all at once. Even if it spills it may pool in a confined are if not on an extremely flat surface, so it doesn't create huge fires instantly.
Looking again I think you're right. But the crack terminates at the xylon panel which looks to me like it might have saved his legs. The halo is designed for 125kN or something but the carbon underneath probably wont be without making it overly heavy.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Nov 2020, 01:11The hole is on the top surface and the "crack" runs across the top and down the side.
My guess is that the tub buried in and as it was rotated round by the inertia, the tub cracked.
The tub isn't designed/tested for that type of loading/failure.
So? It's not like the races run at the same time.fritticaldi wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 23:52Mick Schumacher will be involved in the F2 final race also at Sakhir where he has a 14 point lead in the Championship standings. So that makes him unavailable as well.
Depends if you rate Joe or not. I've been to a couple of his personal private pub evenings and I'd recommend it.
i searched google, more than 3 minutes, I couldn't find any where Joe Saward and the-race.com crew saying "A decent few people in the paddock don't rate Mick."nzjrs wrote: ↑30 Nov 2020, 01:17You asked, I answered.
