I guess we need to wait until they start getting closer to the limit to see how the car drives.
From the onboards so far, looks a bit twitchy and understeers... could just be running more fuel, but definitely not as planted as the old oak trees I'm use to seeing on track.
If you consider monster understeer to be fine handling. It definitely doesn't look like the front wants to turn in.

The McLaren in comparison looks very good... again, fuel loads pending. Times are still a fair way off from what we were seeing in Testing a couple of weeks back unsurprisingly, so plenty of faster times to come.
It's definitely less twitchy and rear is not as loose as during testing. But yeah, it's still understeering a little too much, though that may be influenced by the fuel load?Just_a_fan wrote: ↑26 Mar 2021, 14:22If you consider monster understeer to be fine handling. True, but in comparing it to the likes of the Red Bull or McLaren for example, they both look a lot nicer and planted on track.
The Red Bull in VER's hands looked markedly better on its hot lap. Obviously, usual caveat around fuel load, but if they are indeed on similar-ish fuel loads, this bodes well for Red Bull.dans79 wrote: ↑26 Mar 2021, 14:25Daytime practice for a night race.mkay wrote: ↑26 Mar 2021, 14:24It's definitely less twitchy and rear is not as loose as during testing.
