Looking at the restart Hamilton got a brilliant get away and if they brake together Hamilton is first so it doesn’t look like he needed to brake super late. In the wrong mode makes far more sense.
Seems he turned it off(the mode), but knocked it on again by accident while changing a gear. Unlucky, but compared to how this should have finished, I think he(and his fans) should feel ok.

What did Hamilton do? Looked like no rear brakes.

Well, when they ban frontflexi as well, they will be matched.
Because RB’s front wing doesn’t flex does it 🤦🏼‍♂️
Not as much as someone elses does🤦🤦
You did watch the onboards this weekend right? RB’s front wing flexes just as much as Mercs.

Leclerc had the podium in his grasp there - was clean past Gasly, don’t know why he didn’t cover the inside.
I'm pretty sure he wanted to stay in slipstream from car ahead and he believed it would be enough to keep him ahead. It wasn't, but by then it was too late to cover inside line.
Yes, I agree. seems Honda had more power/energy at the end of the straight

Max fans gonna be so mad and I ain't sorry either
Mad at Max for still having a 4 point lead? I'm thrilled it's still nip and tuck, bring on France! I'm entertained, just enjoying the show and the rollercoaster of feelings. I welcome the aneurism this season will inevitably cause.
I wouldn’t be too excited about France.

No flex rear wing to make up for the weaker Honda engine :(

Max needed to take advantage of this race where Mercedes were always going to struggle.

Max was perfect and had the race well under control.
Checo did the number 2 thing very well for most of the race and but almost blew it at the re-start.
Dumb mistake by Hamilton.
Great drive from Sebastian.
Charles should've protected the inside.

Discussion during the race was that because they had more balance in the middle section they could recover more energy there and deploy it on the last section.

So Hamilton's lock up...was it a driver error or a consequence of his brakes overheating?? Or 50-50??

Lewis has so much experience now...i wouldn't expect such a silly mistake from him! Maybe he got carried away...

Anyway, Hamilton and Verstapen dropping out gave us an epic podium!! That's great for Formula 1!!

Thats my point. He clearly didn’t snatch a brake because he didn’t need too as he was sat in prime position to not need too. Being in the wrong mode makes sense.

Stuff happens.

That was the radio transmission:
"Did i have the magic on?"
"Yea, but, just knocked that on"
"I could have sworn i turned it off"
"Yea you did, but knocked it on with the upshift"

So he did not make a huge mistake by letting the mode on but must've touched the lever/button or whatever they use with some upshift.

Could be, bit surely saving tires helps a lot in terms of probability to finish the race

Big big big mistake from redbull. No need to push risky fast lap at the end with all those laps in tires. They lost big picture
Sure 0.2s of a lap faster than a car behind will get you straight into structural tyre failure. Of course it doesn’t. They were all vulnerable to a tyre letting go. Maybe debris on track? Who knows the cause. But the lap time won’t have been it

He was ahead on the inside before the braking zone. He didn’t need too as he had the high ground. Wrong mode makes sense.
