Could anyone with access to that data please check whether Checo actually aborted his second run in Q2?
he did, yeah. Final sector was a 43.x. So he'll start on Mediums, same as everyone else in the Top 10.

It will be incredibly tight tomorrow. I fear Lewis in turn 1 and 2. He has been talking about that all season. For me that is “prep” work. But ok, save that, any start is always tight the race I am hoping that Max can now finally protect himself from an undercut. So far that has been not been possible (bar Monaco and Baku of course).

Merc still very much in the mix but checo is also on p4. For me this is very hopefull as Merc was so dominant here.

I want to see what Lewis and bottas can do tomorrow, as they had better pace than Max on the mediums today.

If Merc can somehow manage a one two that would be huge for both championships.
That's a fake honestly, track was improving every minute today, Red Bull did their laps in the first moments of Q2, Mercedes did multiple attempts, even using a second set.
Lewis did his best Q2 time on the second lap on the first set of tires.

I didn't see it, but I'm not even sure Lewis went out for a second stint in Q2.

Yeah he did, he had to shed that tire with extra laps in it.

Thank you!

Would have been extremely surprising tbh, probably not worth it as a tactical option ...

And yea, that AWS stuff ... "if Lewis had extracted as much from his car as Max he would have been on Pole he only did 96% performance" ... lmao ...

And i have seen nobody in the green on corner performance. I think we can say Max is almost always extracting very much. The gap to his teammates is usually quite big. These figures are just that. Data. Based on what was actually happening but the real reason behind that is most of all never included.

Can the mods, please, clarify to me why my post about the AWS was deleted? I strongly bashed it but not any member of the forum so I don´t see the problem, I mean, aren´t we allowed to say something is stupid, like the AWS?

Max did good! Sergio a little bit off for some reason, but everything to play for.

With tow? Lewis was miles behind bottas. I'd you are close enough for tow in this track then u will lose massively in the last sector.. not worth it

Bottas was twice in front. As was Max. Next race probably Perez will be in front. And Bottas again.

Perez is the only one with a new set of Mediums left, though, so maybe they can use that instead. A 2 stopper with an early stop to put pressure on the Mercedes could make sense, maybe.

I missed quali, sounds like it was a goodun.

At least the dumb Merc chassis talk we’ve been subjected to can thankfully die, lol
Haha, it was actually painful having to listen through the practice commentary and their obsession with the chassis swap.

I’ve often wondered how Sky have managed to get away without a permanent technical expert on their books. They’ve cornered the F1 market, surely they can afford a specialist who can put some perspective on these discussions before they get inflated to silly proportions.

It's not really "just data" ... it's an interpretation of whatever data most likely based on their own prediction of quali pace or the absolute best minisectors either of the drivers did in that car or something completely different ... realistically it's all just a bunch of nonsense, trying to quantify something that the teams themselves would probably struggle to put solid numbers to, it's added graphics and "analyses" for the sake of added graphics.

The tow? Not worth much with the fast sweeping corners. If the tow was worth anything then RedBull and Max would be fools. although Max placed himself accordingly behind Ricciardo.
