Yeah, need to see how it holds up in the race but the onboards look juicy.
I bet most of them are spending their time outside under the sun in the dunes .. which is always a lot better ..El Scorchio wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 15:47It's possible. It's probably a new situation for most of them a 'bigger' event like this, but I hope they can be a bit snappier getting to cars going forward. I'm sure they'll have an debrief later.
Give it a rest bud.pantherxxx wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 15:32Hopefully it's an engine change. He destroyed Verstappen's engine so just to make it even.
Any revolution of the engine with no oil pressure is BAD. the K unit would still be turning the crank to do this.NathanOlder wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:10So Lewis stopped because of a oil pressure loss, they stopped as a precaution.
Could they not get the car back under hybrid power ? Was only 6 corners from the pit lane. I'd understand on a circuit they have done plenty before , but a brand new circuit, laps are far more important, especially with limited running in P1 too.
Yeah good point, for some reason I was thinking they could use the car in neutral brain fade momentZynerji wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:12Any revolution of the engine with no oil pressure is BAD. the K unit would still be turning the crank to do this.NathanOlder wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:10So Lewis stopped because of a oil pressure loss, they stopped as a precaution.

They are there to recover a car from that area there is no access roads or else so they will have to crane them over the circuitlangedweil wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 15:27I was thinking the same, they're huge !PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 15:16What are those crane booms hanging over the track for? Unusual. Is that safe?
Advantage RedBull.
Hope they won't tip with a gust of wind ..
Looks like they have good front end grip on slippery tracks. Marlboro, bocht zonder naam and kumho they are nailing line no other (maybe apart from Ocon). My guess is this advantage will disappear when the track evolves and the other teams are able to hook up the front in those places.ferrarifire wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:16Ferrari is a genuine contender here.. Twists, Turns and Banking should help Ferrari as they never get into the full-throttle... Even the DRS zone is short. Similar to Monaca.
I'd love to see the championship leaders off the podium for a few races while duking it out in the midfield.ferrarifire wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:16Ferrari is a genuine contender here.. I just have a sandbag feeling regarding RB and Merc. Max isn’t slower than Ocon and Stroll in S1 here.Jolle wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:21Looks like they have good front end grip on slippery tracks. It does sort of feel from today that they shouldn't really be running an F1 weekend at this facility. It wouldn't even be in consideration if not for Verstappen. I know they've made a lot of improvements but it feels slightly unfit for purpose so far.maxxer wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:13They are there to recover a car from that area there is no access roads or else so they will have to crane them over the circuitlangedweil wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 15:27I was thinking the same, they're huge !PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 15:16What are those crane booms hanging over the track for? Or... Other circuits (or rather "facilities") like Abu Dhabi, Shanghai and the like are excessive?El Scorchio wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:58It does sort of feel from today that they shouldn't really be running an F1 weekend at this facility.
