Yeah , I just feel they wont put that on Bottas for 1 point. They would if it was a sunday, but not on a sat race. We shall see. Hopefully they get away 1-2 and we may well find out.zibby43 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:45They’ll just be throwing away points to Verstappen if they do that. Remember, it’s 3-2-1 for the top 3 finishers tomorrow.NathanOlder wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:29I even think Mercedes will let Bottas stay ahead if he stays ahead in to turn 1.
In a championship where RBR are sacrificing Perez at every opportunity.
You do realise Max finished over 4 tenths off pole
People are saying double because it was from 2 cars, not because it has double the effect......Diesel wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:46It's a negligible effect that doesn't deserve the title of "double".
Can you imagine then if Hamilton lost the title by 1 point? And it was simply because they wanted the driver they let go to feel good before dropping to the back for the actual race?NathanOlder wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:50Yeah , I just feel they wont put that on Bottas for 1 point. It probably was. It was mega lap by Max even with the tow (which everyone bar Perez had). Mclaren this weekend is quicker than RB. RB possibly 3-4 tenths down on Merc, Mclaren possibly a tenth quicker or atleast on same pace as RB. Max will struggle to keep Norris behind him with DRS on.Juzh wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:29So I had a look at some telemetries. It seems norris either had an issue with PU or ran out of charge out of ascari and on the run to parabolica. He was 7 kmh off ricciardo (325 vs 332) and started to de-rate much earlier and harder. Without this it seems P3 was on the cards for him today.
Oh certainly , I hope Bottas lets Lewis go, then does a good job of backing Max in to the Mclarenszibby43 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:54Can you imagine then if Hamilton lost the title by 1 point? I know you’re not the one deciding, so these pointed questions are aimed at Merc haha! Any other decision would be absolutely farcical by Mercedes, don’t you think?
Which is irrelevant, Bottas will take 2 points & Max 1 in the sprint race (if he can keep the Mclarens behind). Realistically the RB was slower than Mercedes & Mclaren & should have been 5th. To start 3rd for the sprint & potentially 2nd for the race (with Bottas penalty) is great for RB.
I think that’s the perfect strategy.NathanOlder wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:56Oh certainly , I hope Bottas lets Lewis go, then does a good job of backing Max in to the Mclarenszibby43 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:54Can you imagine then if Hamilton lost the title by 1 point? In which case Max will get DRS & will try to overtake Bottas who will not have DRS (now that may or may not work).NathanOlder wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:56Oh certainly , I hope Bottas lets Lewis go, then does a good job of backing Max in to the Mclarenszibby43 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:54Can you imagine then if Hamilton lost the title by 1 point? wtf are you on about. Look at the results! or open your eyes! Lewis was over 3 tenths ahead of Max!Mr.S wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:57Which is irrelevant, Bottas will take 2 points & Max 1 in the sprint race (if he can keep the Mclarens behind). And LH was less than 1 tenth ahead while having a car 3-4 tenths ahead & had a tow in his lap, so Max/RB should be happy !
And give him DRS & slip-stream, great. Only chance for Max to finish 2nd & get 2 points in the Sprint race !zibby43 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:58I think that’s the perfect strategy.NathanOlder wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:56Oh certainly , I hope Bottas lets Lewis go, then does a good job of backing Max in to the Mclarenszibby43 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 19:54

That’s the sort of ruthless tactic RBR would employ. And Merc need to get with the program.
In the 1st lap of Q3, they were which essentially allowed Max to finish ahead of Norris & Ricciardo !NathanOlder wrote: ↑10 Sep 2021, 20:00wtf are you on about. Stop trying to make trouble, you look foolish now you don't even understand how the leaderboard works!
