Great job from both RIC and NOR, it will be great to see Mclaren on the front row tomorrow, I think Button in the Mclaren HONDA was 2nd on the A1 ring in 2016/7?, Since then we haven't been at the front. Also the old rivalry between RIC and VER will be back for the start as well.

It’ll be interesting to see how aggressive Daniel will be at the start. He’s made quite a few good ones this season. Will Max be tentative or be his usual self? Don’t know if we’ve got a chance for the win, the Mercedes and Red Bull seem too quick in race trim. If we’re going to have any sort of chance, we’ve got to be leading 1-2 into the first corner. Other than that, a huge slice of luck.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Macca is hellafast down the straights and they are a great team with fantastic strategists — way better than the strategy buffoons at Merc who only seem capable of getting it right about every third decision. Ricciardo and Norris have better race technique than Hamilton because they haven’t had a 1.5-2 second a lap faster car most of their career, so they have not atrophied in skill, race approach, and attitude. Macca will do just fine tomorrow. I expect both drivers to be on the podium with Max leading the way.

Great team result today and epic job from Daniel to grab 3rd.

This is the sort of drive that got him nicknamed the “Grand Prix bandit” back at Red Bull as he was so good at stealing great results in races!

Dan finally coming to grips with the car it seems. He was definitely stronger last race and quali but got shafted by the pit wall last race telling him to slow traffic for lando which didnt work out at all. This race all but confirmed his progress he had a clear pace advantage over an inform lando in the race and basically set an equal quali time. I think this gap will be magnified next year when they start on equal terms then we will see his true worth. Hope he can get Max off the line.

Well said & it is the truth. I am also expecting a Mclaren double podium ! Norris is a future star & people underestimate Ricciardo. This is the guy that beat Vettel, Verstappen, Ocon, Hulkenberg fair n square over a single season. And he still has 2-3 good years !

This is difficult to say. It is 1 or 2 race here n there. Norris @ 19 is not Norris @ 2021. Verstappen in 2016 is not Verstappen in 2021. People evolve & improve especially young drivers.

Norris in 2021 is way better than 2019. 19 is just too young to have a mature drive - But even then Norris was outqualifying Sainz. I think if Ricciardo sorts out his issues, he will be up with Verstappen & Leclerc as a top guy & so will Norris. Mclaren will have a great driver line-up like Ferrari has. Mercedes has Russel now so i Guess RB is the only 1 with Perez (1 guy little behind) - All the other teams have a great line-up !

I think he will be competitive till about 37-38. He seems to be getting better with age. At RBR his weakness were his starts. Now he's one of the strongest starters on the grid (guess the time at Renault helped). His race craft was already up there with the best of the best and had excellent race pace and excellent quali pace. When dan is on form and the equipment suits him he is right up there with the best. As you said he beat Max twice of 3 years (would have again but his car fked him over with 8 dnfs and 6 back of the grid starts in 2018), He dismantled Vettel and Hulkenberg...and of course we saw what he did to Ocon.

Norris will continue to grow and get better. Definitely next year we have one of the strongest lineups. Perhaps behind Hamilton and George only.

RBR's weak link is Perez. Ive never rated him at all. He got shown up by Ocon who smashed him 16-5 in quali and only got outscored by him due to the lottery of the midfield. He is consistently over half a second behind max on every occasion in qualifying. Extremely over-rated for his already slightly above average reputation IMO.

How much more can Lando keep Hamilton behind?
Till the end. The safety car helped us with the tyres.

I hope we don't see another year with these sprint races.

Amen...

FOM again changing the things that does not need changing... #-o #-o

I think the Mclaren is actually the quickest car of the season

How did you reach this conclusion ? We have not yet had a Pole position or a Win...
