Winner takes all scoring method would have benefited Raikkonen
The controversial scoring method that was to be implemented in 2009 by the FIA would have benefited Kimi Raikkonen, says his manager Steve Robertson. Although now held back until 2010, the method would have crowned the driver with the most wins, instead of the most points.
Robertston told Finnish newspaper 'Turun Sanomat': "Kimi is the ultimate type of winner, who drives for the victory until the last lap. I believe it (the scoring system) would have suited him.”
"Right now second place is good enough if you can't win," he added, "but the FIA decision would have made the difference between victory and second place gigantic."
