Heidfeld trusts in good aerodynamic package

The 'Circuit de Catalunya' is very well known to Nick Heidfeld: next to the countless test rounds, the driver of the BMW Sauber F1 Team has already entered six Grands Prix on this circuit. Prior to his seventh appearance, Nick is laying his trust mainly in the good aerodynamic package of the BMW Sauber F1.06.

The Grand Prix of Spain on the 'Circuit de Catalunya' is the second race in eight days for the drivers of the BMW Sauber F1 Team. Only one week after his appearance on the Nürburgring, Nick Heidfeld will battle for World Championship points on the race track once more.

And Nick Heidfeld knows exactly what to expect of the 4,627 km long course: "All the drivers know the race track in Barcelona very well because a lot of tests are conducted here. To a certain degree this is due to the fact that the 'Circuit de Catalunya' is very demanding on the aerodynamics. And this already describes an important aspect of this track: it's a fast track and in the nice and fast corners a well functioning aerodynamic set-up is required."

Additionally, Nick is convinced the Grand Prix of Spain will be very popular with the fans: "The race has also managed to grow in importance regarding spectator numbers," the German says. "Of course this is all thanks to the success of Fernando Alonso. During the last tests I saw they have even built new grandstands and I have heard the event is sold out. That's why I'm certain the Spanish GP will be a very good race."
