JV looking forward to Spanish GP

This weekend, the BMW Sauber F1 Team will compete at the Grand Prix of Spain. BMW Sauber F1 Team driver Jacques Villeneuve is going to take part in the race on the 'Circuit de Catalunya' for the 10th time.

"The 'Circuit de Catalunya' is a good race track, where I have already been fairly successful. It features a few exciting high-speed corners, but, unfortunately, not too many overtaking possibilities," Jacques Villeneuve says about the 4,627km long course located in the north-east of Spain. "The cars often tend to suffer understeer on this track."

Next to the race track itself, Jacques is also impressed by the metropolis of Barcelona near by. "Barcelona is a fantastic city. There is always something going on there, the people love to go out and the whole atmosphere is great. I very much like the lifestyle of this city."

The Mediterranean city is part of the Spanish province of Catalonia and the 1.8 million inhabitants mainly speak Catalan. Jacques Villeneuve is, however, confident that he will find his way around, despite the language problem. "Catalan is sometimes hard to understand but you can get by with a little bit of Spanish."
