Kimi's dream up in smoke?
Kimi Raikkonen, the Finnish McLaren-Mercedes driver, expressed his hopes to win the Monaco Grand Prix as a present for the 40th birthday of McLaren. This morning, though, Raikkonen's dream went up in smoke and seemed more like a nightmare.
Raikkonen only came out of the pits at the end of the session, but parked up after a cloud of smoke appeared from his car as he was driving through the famous tunnel.
McLaren didn't want to confirm what the problem was, but it seems that the team will have to make an unscheduled engine change. This would result in a 10-place grid penalty for Raikkonen and on a circuit where overtaking is almost impossible this is a true nightmare for the winner of last year's Monaco Grand Prix.
