Wurz fastest in 2nd practice session
During an incidentfilled second practice session at Monaco Alexander Wurz, the Williams F1 test driver, topped the time sheets. Wurz was followed by Anthony Davidson and Juan Pablo Montoya. World Champion, Fernando Alonso, who was fastest during the first free practice session, finished 4th in the second. Tomorrow there is engine silence in Monaco and on Saturday the third practice session and the qualifying session are scheduled.
The second practice session was suspended for a while as Anthony Davidson, the Honda Racing F1 Team test and reserve driver, hit the wall at Sainte Devote and lost his front wheel. Only minutes after the session restarted, Robert Kubica of the BMW Sauber F1 Team hit the barriers at Rascasse. There was only minor damage on the left rear of his car.
