Coulthard sides with Alonso against 'unsporting' Schumi
Fernando Alonso recently slammed Michael Schumacher for being the most unsportive driver ever in racing. Now the 2005 World Champion gets back-up from F1 veteran David Coulthard. The Scotsman said in an interview with The Guardian that Schumacher was often caught on unsporting behaviour but never on saying sorry.
"I don't recall him ever coming out and admitting he did anything wrong even when the stewards had penalised him. I've yet to see him apologise for anything that may have been deemed unsporting."
Unlike Alonso, tough, Coulthard thinks it is possible that Schumacher could be given the benefit of the doubt. He said of the German's refusal to ever apologise: "That's either a strong inner belief on his part even when the evidence of the governing body suggests he's done something wrong, or it's a strategy... not to show a weakness."
