Barrichello switches to pedal power in Portugal

Honda Racing F1 Team driver Rubens Barrichello will be in Portugal this weekend experiencing the spectacular Lisbon Downtown, the ultimate urban mountain biking event. As well as meeting the fans, Rubens will be supporting Team G Cross Honda, Honda’s World Cup winning downhill mountain bike team in the sport’s equivalent to the Monte Carlo Grand Prix.

The world famous Lisbon Downtown is a unique non-championship event that every mountain biker dreams of winning. Rubens will join Team G Cross Honda riders, Greg Minnaar from South Africa, Matti Lehikoinen from Finland and Brendan Fairclough from the UK. He’ll also be checking out the team’s spectacular Honda RN01 mountain bike which is yet another feat of Honda’s engineering excellence and a further example of the company’s passion for racing.

Staged on the cobbled streets of Lisbon’s historic Downtown the event takes place on Saturday 19 May and promises to be a thrilling Portuguese street showdown!
