The Honda Racing F1 Team joined the other 10 Formula One teams at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium today for the start of this week’s three-day test. The main focus for the Honda test programme this week is to gather chassis set-up data for the Belgian Grand Prix to be held at the circuit in the middle of September. Weather conditions in Spa were cold and damp in the morning with the sun beginning to appear during the afternoon session.

Reserve and Test Driver Christian Klien began the test today in chassis RA107-06. Christian spent the morning establishing the baseline set-up of the Honda RA107 car before working through a series of aerodynamic evaluations and ending the day with ace start simulations. Christian completed 63 laps in total.

Jenson Button will take over the car for the second day of the test tomorrow.
