Coulthard considers Belgian GP as home race

David Coulthard was over the moon with the first official F1 test at the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, in the Belgian Ardennes. The Scotsman, who clocked the sixth time today, says it's a "sensation to test here".

Coulthard ran 55 laps today at the longest circuit on the F1 calendar, but was not completely satisfied with that. "It might be more than a race distance, but according to me we weren't able to drive enough miles today," the Scotsman declared to f1-club, "But it's a real sensation to be here. I have raced here many times during my career, but never were we able to test here."

"It's a great opportunity for us, all the more because my fiancée (Karen Minier) lives in Brussels and the Grand Prix in September will be as much as a home Grand Prix for me." The Scotsman said this weekend at Silverstone that he and Karen will get married next year, somewhere at the Carribean.

Today, Coulthard had a short photo call with Paul Frere as they posed with a Talbot Lago T26C from 1950 and the RB3 from 2007.
