Rossiter takes over on final day of testing for SA
For the final day of the first winter test of 2008 season preparations, James Rossiter took over the driving duties for SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM. James picked up from where Anthony finished yesterday with continued work being carried out on the MES 2008 controls system, accumulating data for engineering analysis. In conjunction with the controls development, James carried out brake and aero evaluations working towards the 2008 SA08 and completed a total of 60 laps.
Anthony Davidson “I had a productive two days in the car and it was interesting working with the new MES system. We had a few issues on the first day, but we got on top of that very quickly and I had a nice, balanced car on day two. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to drive without TC and driver aids, so I am looking forward to next year now. We performed well as a team and it has been a very positive test for me to end the year on.”
James Rossiter “We had a useful day developing the car with the MES system and trying to understand it more. We were interrupted by red flags on track, but we completed the planned programme during the week’s testing and are happy with the results.”
Graham Taylor, Sporting Director “Thanks to all the team and the drivers for their efforts during this first test towards next year. A good amount of data was gathered with progress being made each day and crucial feedback from the drivers’ with regard the new for 2008 control systems. James and Takuma are scheduled to continue at Jerez in a fortnight’s time."
