Monaco will be a very different story - Kubica

Robert Kubica finished fourth at the Turkish Grand Prix, picking up another five World Championship points. The BMW Sauber F1 Team driver is satisfied with his performance at the "Istanbul Speed Park", and is hoping for another good result in Monaco.

From Kubica's point of view, the fifth Grand Prix of the year was a successful one. "I picked up some points. Fourth place was really as good as I could hope for. The start was not bad, and I gained two positions. Fourth place, and fifth for Nick, was the most our team could get out of today," commented the Pole on the team from Munich and Hinwil's results in Istanbul.

The race on the Bosphorus was dominated for long periods by the competition between Ferrari and McLaren. However, Robert does not see this as a cause for concern. On the one hand, the BMW Sauber F1 Team will use a test programme this week in Le Castellet to press ahead with further developing the BMW Sauber F1.08. On the other hand, the special layout of the "Circuit de la Principauté" in Monaco is another reason for Robert's optimism going into the next race in the World Championship.

"Monaco will be a very different story. It is a completely different race," says the 23-year-old. "We must simply remain as motivated and objective in the coming races. We want to pick up as many points as possible and always do our best."
