What could gr have done? His corner was set and began before Perez went on the outside. What, within the laws of physics could gr have done?
That is what is frustrating. No driver could do anything
I’ve no idea. I’m not a driver. Guess he could have turned in tighter or slowed down more in order for the car in front the rights to the corner.
Couldn’t turn tighter, was at edge of the track.chrisc90 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2022, 17:35I’ve no idea. I’m not a driver. Guess he could have turned in tighter or slowed down more in order for the car in front the rights to the corner.
Elaborate please? Dont follow you

Not good and I hope the FIA / Liberty do something about it - if the track's own security can't get in and evict these people, perhaps the track should lose its race. With the cameras around these days, I'm surprised they can't identify the perpetrators like they do in football these days.
F1 needs to stamp out this sort of thing - this is 2022, not 1972.

Contrary to reports on social media, the emergency services reported few problems at the Formula 1 in Spielberg on Sunday: there were no reports of sexual harassment. Overall, it was "surprisingly calm", according to the police.
On Twitter, there was an accumulation of posts over the weekend according to which women in particular had been verbally or physically harassed on the Ring grounds: One's attention had been drawn to "completely unacceptable comments", even Formula 1 announced on its official Twitter channel. "This behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated," it said on Sunday.

On Twitter, several apparently female users reported lewd slurs, shouts, whistles, gestures or assaults. "The girl who sells ice cream (i.e. WORKS) is harassed non-stop by older drunk men. It's horrible," wrote one user.
Police: No assaults or incidents reported
Police said that no assaults or incidents of this kind had been reported to officers, but that it had been "surprisingly quiet" in view of the more than 300,000 guests.
Neither of those things are possible, turning more pushes the tyre out of its operating grip window and would understeer aggressive (as seen by the gasley on board)chrisc90 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2022, 17:35I’ve no idea. Last week people were getting pushed off the grid left and right, no foul. George kept his line on the inside and was penalised. Different situations, but doesn’t seem consistent plus how many times have we being told clashes on the 1st lap are judged lenient.
I agree. Above all rules have to be consistent. Although there will still be mile wide interpretation
How on earth can you brake whilst at the limit of lateral grip? A Tyre cannot magically offer up imaginary grip.Hammerfist wrote: ↑10 Jul 2022, 17:41
He could have braked. Once Perez got fully alongside and edged ahead george should be thinking how can i avoid contact there. This corner has been heavily policed the last few years and the car on the outside usually goes in the gravel and the guy on the inside gets penalized. Off the top of my head i remember Hamilton vs Albon 2020, Norris vs somebody in 2021 and this year there are two more. If it was me I would not even attempt an overtake on the outside there, it seems to always end badly. Perez should have been more patient.
He was as tight as he could be, so turning more wasn’t a option.
