Verstappens Red Bull is turning beautifully right now. Jesus.
Where did it come from
No clue. The way he hooked up T4 and T11 was just silly.
He did it again. The car looked nothing like this in FP2 and FP3.

Looking at the speed traps, Sam Collins isn't joking. Merc is right up there.
What matters is if they have enough downforce for tomorrow so they can actually race with the others.
Remember that Merxa biggest issue all of 2022 was warming up their tyres.

They had to do two laps every quali just to qualify over half a second off the pace and couldn't use strategy during races due to very slow tyre warmup.

If they are working the tyres harder now, it should be better for them as they'll actually be able to use more of the available grip per lap in the race.
I spoke too soon, Merc is still 0.6s off the pace just like last year hahaha oh dear.

And after all that, a depressing outcome.

Epic season, I doubt

The Merc is a turd. If it wasn’t, they wouldn’t be so long faced, depressed and waiting for their upgrade. Not even worth discussing unfortunately, that’s how far they’ve fallen.

RB, Ferrari & AM look the top 3. Merc in 4th.
You got it perfectly right, except calling Merc a turd. They were turd last year, now they´re worst than that. AMR is turd and Merc is 4th.

What was wrong with Charles? Just as many previous outings and tire usage as Carlos...

Oh I think Leclerc could have been close, so let’s calm down Red Bull fans. I find it very odd that Ferrari didn’t try again unless it was a technical issue but apparently it might be tactical choice to save tyres. We’ll see.

Where did Ferrari/RB extra performance come from relative to AMR? Engine or fuel loads?

More like half a second i reckon. They didn't do the second runs in q3. Guess they didn t have any tires left.

Well usually you do one on used then another on fresh.
Why just leave yourself time to do one.

I don't think anyone can say for sure either way at this point. But it was .3 to LEC (who didn't do a 2nd lap) and .6 to the next best team. Evidence so far is that RB is in a class of their own on race pace and tire deg, no?
