Lando was breaking track limits repeatedly and dive bombing, but it's a marginal collision that results in the 10s penalty because of the outcome of the incident. Stewards overreacting to the outcome rather than the incident as always
It wasn't smaller incident than Alonso-Zhou which was 10s also.

Great perspective, thank you. He definitely moved to the right first and then left. Let's see if we'll get any form of punishment or rule modification, again.

Once Verstappen realizes his right side is destroyed coming off of T3 he still blocks Norris on the straight while going slowly SMH

Edit actually drives him onto the grass

I do find it funny that these tactics get attributed to Max, when we have seen them being executed by almost any driver with the exception of some.
The FIA literally drafted new rules for not moving in the braking zone because of Max Verstappen.

Before he entered F1 it was an unwritten rule that most everybdriver understood.

The reason the rule exists now, is literally to avoid the kinds of incidents that happened today where Lando almost ended up in Maxs diffuser the first time he tried to overtake due to Max cutting almost the entire width of the track in the braking zone , or the last one where Lando ultimately picked a place to brake, but had to contend with Max turning I to him deep in the braking zone which he would t even be able to avoid properly as he's hard on the brakes..

This move is attributed to Max, because it's his signature move.
Sure. But it is still something that others also do/have done.

He covered the inside then went left to get to the racing line.

The Stewards are the ones responsible for Lando missing out on a win in my opinion
The stewards aren't responsible for anything just because they don't interpret the rules in the same way as the internet crowd think they should.

It's been clear for a while now that the stewards will give quite a bit of leeway to the moving under braking rule (as well as the "moving twice while defending" rule), since drivers are rarely penalized (including black/white flagged) for it, while the internet crowd will be screaming "PENALTY" until their lungs explode.

You may disagree with the rules being the way it is, but at the end of the day, they (and the FIA) are the ultimate authority on how the rule is supposed to be interpreted. As such, by definition, it's you who are misinterpreting the rule.

The interview from Max tells you everything. That's about as close to an apology Lando will ever get.

Listening to Horner now too. The same bullsh*t.

It's was nice not having to listen to their gaslighting PR nonsense for a few years.

Stella on the chequered flag is going really in on the racing stewarding. Clearly stating that not going hard enough on both Lewis and Max in 2021 has led to this driving.

Indeed, and did so not during breaking but from the start of it. Also there was more than enough room to the left still.

No one pointed out that Max kept the lead by going off the lap before. I guess that one went unpenalised?
He was pushed off with nowhere to go. Could argue Norris was ahead and had the right, but if so it was close. They decided to keep him on, could have been a 5s penalty - negating the one that Norris was also getting.
Max could have backed out and ceded the place. That is how drivers are judged now. Generally dive bombs are allowed these days as long as the overtaking car makes the corner which Norris did.

Ironically it was max himself who popularised these sorts of overtakes heavily in 2020/2021 and change the view of the stewards to allow this sort of racing.

Stella is 100% correct.

This is what is also on my mind. Everything Lando did this race Max has done and even more, if anything he has been the reason why racing has become like this since he joined the grid. I will say it's certainly not a bad thing at all, but the stewards need to just step up and show that this driving conduct cannot stand.

They definitely overreact to how "visual" or dramatic the result is rather than the action. 20 seconds to Alonso in Australia for example.
