according to Marko, they are losing most of the time in turn 4 and 9, McLaren is in another league. The bumpy track is a big problem, and he doesn't see a chance to fight them. Beating Leclerc in the sprint may be possible, in the race more likely not.

Red bull don’t have the luxury of race setups, their aim is to be annoying and if you’re starting 2-3 places behind Norris then it’s worthless, not to sound negative.

The fact the car cannot deal with track surfaces let alone curbs massively worries me. How they’ve got from the most dominant car of all time to this in the space of a season with no reg changes baffles me still

But as I expected the two medium speed 90 degree turns - 4 and 12, is paricularly weak, compared to McLaren. The only place where the car is better is the Senna esses. But that doesn't contribute much to laptime.
It is going to be worse delta in race trim.
Redbull should forget about McLaren this weekend and aim for P3 podium spot in sprint as well as race. Might be possible, with changing weather and Max's skill to squeeze everything out of the car. Ferrari race pace is a big threat, especially with high deg on a slippery track.

I knew it was gonna be bad on this track. Based on past few races ferrari is faster in race trim than they are in quali so only P5 is a real possibility.

Don't get your hopes up for Qatar. While it does have some very high speed corners which will favour RB, its got much more medium speed ones which will massively benefit mclaren. Basically RB20 is only good in 230+ kmh corners and thats it.
Mclaren was already fastest in qatar last year, this year i expect them to dominate.

Our only hope is Max, not Qatar and not the Ferrari, who will only take more points away from Max. Would be much better if they weren't as fast and Max could just finish 2nd or even 3rd not risking too much.
We, as his fans shouldn't be too sad about this situation, even if the racing, or shall we say the races aren't really fun to watch, knowing before the weekend even starts there is basically no chance to fight for a win.
Because this is truly unique situation this year. If he wins this championship in this RB20 car it will cement him truly as the goat if not forever, but for a very long time until the next prodigy shows up and does even better. Even if he retires in the end of the year. If not, then it wasn't meant to be, tough luck.

This weekend the relative forces are the worst possible, Ferrari are faster but not enough to beat McLaren, so it'll be many points lost, but we knew that.

Yes, you are right as usual.. This is the best hope indeed. LOL. But I would still prefer to watch the race irrespective of outcome, especially wet one.
