Vettel pushes the time down to 1:32.725. Webber 0.4 seconds slower. Kubica 0.65 s slower on P3. He runs through R130 with one hand and F-duct activated. He has high speed through the trap with 307 kph.



Vettel goes to 1:32.585. Webber to P2 only 48 thousands behind.

Car bottomed out it seems. But no matter.. That is what happens when the driver's psyche is stronger than the limits of the car... He will still get pole though.. Fastest sector 1, that is good news.

Interestingly kubica was holding the F-duct through 130R.

Ferrari's haven't shown their pace as yet, Redbulls looking mammoth through the esses, Mclaren having issues with the bumps.

Yeah no problem with that. For all the damage it wasn't a heavy impact at all. The front corner brushed the wall at a harmless angle.

According to Legard via twitter MacMerc dont yet know if it will need a new tub (they are hoping it wont).

He hit the wall a shallow angle and only really had impact with the front wing and wheel. From tv footage I could only imagine that the tub, if damaged, would be damaged at the suspension pick up points. IMO the damage looked far more serious than the actual accident. All relative to the extremes of F1 of course. In a road car they would at least be in hospital.

Plus, we've all seen how easily the McLaren suspension collapses on impact with anything really.
